About Sherice Amanda Annis, MSW, RSW, CYW

Sherice Amanda Annis is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She received her Diploma in Child and Youth Work from George Brown College and her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Toronto. In 2015, she also completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto. She has supported children, teens and their families since 2006 working with various agencies and organizations, including the Peel Children’s Centre, Children’s Aid Society, SickKids Hospital, and Toronto District School Board. She also has experience working with adults through her work in various settings, include private practice.


Sherice works with individuals and families who are struggling with daily life challenges. These challenges can affect important aspects of life including personal and family relationships, school, work, and mental health. As a result of these struggles, symptoms of anxiety, depression, and emotional/behavioural dysregulation may appear. Sherice is here as part of your support system to assist you and your family in overcoming challenges that you currently face. She is committed to her clients’ success.


Sherice recognizes that every individual is different. She has a variety of therapeutic philosophies and coping strategies that she implements with clients. A few therapies she offers are CBT, Solution Focused, Mindfulness, ACT, Narrative, Person-Centred and Internal Family Systems. She is also well versed in Play Therapy and is trained in EMDR.


Sherice has a lot of experience with mental health (such as anxiety, depression, substance use) and family dynamics, as well as neurodevelopmental conditions like ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, and difficulties with self-regulation. She is also experienced supporting individuals within the LGBTQ2S+ community.
